Easter is a time for family fun, and what better way to spend time together than by making delicious treats?

If you’re looking for simple, fun, and mess-free ways to get your children involved in the kitchen this Easter, no-bake recipes are the perfect solution. These easy-to-make treats are not only tasty but also a fantastic way to spend quality time with your little ones. No oven required — just a bit of mixing, moulding and creativity. Here are some no-bake Easter treat ideas that are sure to delight the whole family.

Chocolate Easter nests

Chocolate Easter nests are a classic no-bake treat that’s quick and easy to make, and they’re a great way to get children involved in the kitchen. You’ll need just a few simple ingredients: Cornflakes (or Rice Krispies), melted chocolate and mini chocolate eggs for decoration.

To make the nests, melt your chosen chocolate (milk, dark, or white) in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth. Once melted, mix in the cornflakes until they’re fully coated in chocolate. Spoon the mixture into cupcake cases and shape it into nest-like formations with a spoon. Finally, top each nest with a few mini chocolate eggs. Pop them in the fridge for about an hour, and you’ve got a simple yet delicious treat that the kids will love to help make.

Rice Krispies Easter eggs

Rice Krispies treats are a classic snack that everyone loves, and they’re incredibly versatile. For Easter, you can shape them into egg-shaped treats for a festive twist. You’ll need Rice Krispies, marshmallows, butter, and food colouring.

Start by melting the butter and marshmallows together in a large pot over low heat. Once melted, stir in the Rice Krispies and mix until fully combined. If you want to make these extra colourful for Easter, you can divide the mixture into separate bowls and add a few drops of food colouring to each. Once the mixture has cooled slightly, shape it into egg shapes using your hands, and let them set in the fridge.

No-bake carrot cake energy bites

For a healthier option, why not try making no-bake carrot cake energy bites? These are a great way to sneak in some fruit and vegetables while still making a treat that feels indulgent. To make them, you’ll need oats, grated carrot, nuts, coconut, honey and a little cinnamon.

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well until everything is evenly distributed. Roll the mixture into small balls and chill them in the fridge for about 30 minutes. These energy bites are packed with flavour and make a perfect snack to enjoy after an afternoon of Easter egg hunts and crafts.

Chocolate-dipped fruit

If you’re looking for a quick and healthy treat, chocolate-dipped fruit is always a hit and it’s a simple no-bake option that children will enjoy preparing. You can use strawberries, bananas or any of your favourite fruits. Melt some chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler, then dip the fruit into the chocolate and place it on parchment paper to set. For a festive Easter touch, sprinkle the dipped fruit with colourful sprinkles, shredded coconut or crushed nuts. These treats are light and refreshing yet still satisfy that sweet tooth.
