Why work at Parentkind?

When you work at Parentkind, you’re becoming part of an organisation that thrives on the challenge to always be making a difference. What unites us across teams and geographies is that we are striving to empower all with parental or educational responsibility to improve the life chances of children, young people and their communities.

The scope and scale of our purpose drives us to seek diverse perspectives, be resourceful and navigate through uncertain times. We deliver things that we never thought were possible, but we embrace these challenges every day.

To do this we are guided by our values, which give us the strength to succeed.

We are:

Brave

We address issues head-on

Informed

We base our decisions and actions on facts

Co-operative

We work together to achieve more than we can on our own

Entrepreneurial

We embrace ideas knowing we will sometimes make mistakes, but will learn from them

Progressive

We challenge ourselves and others to make a change

This is the best place I have worked, and the flexibility is great. There’s always a good team spirit.

Five awesome reasons to work with us

1. We offer flexible working

We recognise the diversity of our team’s lives and the need for flexibility to accommodate their changing circumstances. You will be supported by flexible working patterns, hours and locations, and as part of this, the Head Office in Tonbridge is open for hot-desking and opportunities for collaborative working.

2. We put family first

Parents and families (however they may look) are at the heart of what we do, so we accommodate parental and caring responsibilities wherever we can. We ensure that our team are supported effectively during their return to work following any kind of parental leave, and provide a return to work payment.

3. We promote personal and professional growth

We want to invest in you as a person, as well as a team member, so we offer all staff three days of paid leave per year to volunteer in your community.

To help you do the best that you can do, we invest in equipment, training and our working environment. We also focus on managing priorities to make sure that you are achieving your goals but at the same time challenging yourselves to make forward-thinking decisions.

4. We offer a range of benefits

We offer an enhanced pension contribution, 25 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) and a generous sickness provision, which includes income protection (75% for up to two years) and life assurance that covers four times your salary. We also provide access to Mental Health First Aiders and an Employee Assistance Programme (which includes an employee discount scheme and a counselling and GP service).

5. We are an awesome team

We know that working as a team is important, but we also acknowledge that by working with external partners, we can achieve more than we can on our own. We have a great network of organisations that support our work, and we reciprocate by lending our expertise to them. Your ideas are valued at Parentkind — we actively seek the contribution of our staff team, and we’re not afraid to try new ideas.
