Meet the team

Frank Young is Chief Executive of Parentkind. He joined the charity in 2024 as Director of Policy Research and later Chief Policy Officer, leading the organisation’s work to make sure parents’ voices are heard and are at the heart of education policy and public debate. He wants parents to be a much bigger part of our education debates when big decisions are made and thinks every school should have an amazing PTA. 

Before Parentkind, Frank had nearly a decade of experience in senior policy roles and served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Ofsted until August 2025. 

Frank dreams of one day retiring to a cottage in the Scottish Highlands or on a remote Scottish island, but in the meantime wants to help Parentkind stand up for parents and celebrate the incredible work of PTAs.

When he’s not at work, Frank loves playing Mario Kart and Mega Monopoly with his son. Leading Parentkind keeps him busy, but when he can, he tries to read and loves political diaries for their insights into the lives of famous political figures — his son James hasn’t quite caught the political bug yet. Home life is busy with all the challenges balancing work and parenting duties, there’s always homework to be done or driving James back and forth to birthday parties.
