Friends of Swing Gate School have received a £250 funding boost from easyfundraising this month.

Chair Emma Bedlow created a fundraising page for the PTA in May and it was chosen at random to receive the bonus donation to help them kickstart their fundraising.

Emma said, We are so delighted! It has been a really challenging year for fundraising, and so this is an amazing extra boost for Friends of Swing Gate, and the whole school team.

We will be putting the money towards purchasing materials to support the school wide Talk For Writing Project and additional reading level books for the classes.”

easyfundraising is great. It is only our first month, but already we are starting to see donations adding up. It’s great to have other ways of fundraising as well as through events and activities, especially during these difficult times when it is not possible to run a lot of normal events. It’s really easy and enables families to raise money for the school while doing their everyday shopping.”

How does easyfundraising work?

When parents use the website or free app to shop with all their favourite online stores, the retailer they shop with will send your PTA a free donation.

There are over 5,000 retailers involved, including Amazon, eBay, Just Eat, M&S, Etsy, John Lewis, Clarks, Booking.com, Etsy, Argos, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and lots more.

Over £5 million has been raised for Parentkind member PTAs so far, so it really works.

Emma said, I would definitely recommend it to other PTAs. It’s really easy to set up, and easy to use. The free marketing tools and social media messages and posters make it really easy to share with the school community.”
