Banana mummies

Makes 30

Ingredients

  • 30 cake pop sticks
  • 15 bananas
  • 300g mini marshmallows (remove 30 for the eyes)
  • 750g chocolate
  • 2–3 tbsp coconut oil
  • Black icing pen

Method

  1. Peel and halve the bananas and insert a cake pop stick into the base. Place them onto an oven tray lined with baking paper and pop them in the freezer for an hour.
  2. While the bananas are in the freezer, cut 30 mini marshmallows in half and draw a pupil on each piece with the black icing pen.
  3. Break the chocolate into chunks and melt with the coconut oil in a bowl over a pan of hot water (not boiling).
  4. Dip the bananas in the melted chocolate and stick on some marshmallow eyes. Put them back in the freezer for another half hour until the chocolate has set.
  5. Microwave the rest of the mini marshmallows for 30 seconds until they’re starting to melt. Using a fork, wrap the bananas in the marshmallow. Your mummies are now alive!

Strawboory ghosts

Makes 30

Ingredients

  • 30 strawberries
  • 450g pot of vanilla yoghurt
  • Black icing pen

Method

  1. Wash the strawberries and pat them dry.
  2. Holding the stalk, dip each strawberry into the yoghurt and place them onto an oven tray lined with baking paper. Put them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  3. When the yoghurt has set, draw two dots for eyes and a round mouth with the black icing pen. Boo!

Creepy crawly cups

Makes 30

Ingredients

  • 30 plastic shot glasses
  • 135g pack of Hartley’s Jelly
  • An assortment of worm and bug jelly sweets

Method

  1. Following the packet instructions, mix the jelly in a large bowl.
  2. Spoon the mixture into each of the shot glasses.
  3. Arrange the jelly sweets in the jelly so it looks like they’re crawling out and put in the fridge to set. And that’s it! You could make it even easier and buy individual jelly cups to create your delicious (yet disgusting) creepy crawly cups.
