The National Parent Survey 2024

The National Parent Survey 2024 is Parentkind’s groundbreaking new research that puts the views and voices of UK parents front and centre. Over 5,000 parents took the time to share their experiences with us and the challenges they face every day as a parent. This year’s survey covers a broad range of topics affecting parents, including mental health, screen time, the cost-of-living crisis and school attendance.

This report shows what parents across the UK really think about issues such as the cost-of-living crisis, mental health and screen time, as well as educational concerns such as school attendance and learning at home. Too often parents are overlooked when it comes to big policy debates, and the shocking findings from the #NationalParentSurvey2024 have become the foundation for our six-point action plan that we’re taking to Government to ensure parents are better supported in every aspect of their lives.

This needs to serve as a wake-up call to schools and politicians nationwide so that they finally listen to the people bringing up the next generation. You can continue to support our mission by reading and sharing the findings of the full report. You can either download the individual nation reports as PDFs, or read the full UK report online.
