Member Offer with takepayments — Scotland PTAs and PCs and UK Schools — terms and conditions
Terms and Conditions of promotion:
These terms and conditions refer to the promotional offer (‘’Promotion’’) and set out the agreement between (1) the Parent & Teacher association or Parent Council based in Scotland , or the School based in the UK (“PTA”, ‘’School’’, “Parent Council”) which has applied for the promotion and (2) Parentkind (Charity number: 1072833 ) having its registered office at 78 Pall Mall , London, England , SW1Y 5ES (‘’Parentkind’’, ‘’We’’, ‘’us’’, ‘’our’’).
By applying for this promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and they will apply to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions.
1. Promotion
1.1 This promotion will start on the 1st October 2025 and finish on 30th November 2025 at 11:59pm. Each Scottish PTA, Scottish Parent Council or UK School that completes all donation and eligibility criteria, as set out below, during this promotion period will receive a donation of £200.
1.2 The promotion may be extended from the 1st December 2025 at 12:00am for a period determined solely by Parentkind and at its sole discretion. Parentkind may also vary the value of the donation post the intial promotion period (1st October 2025 – 30th November 2025 at 11:59pm)
1.3 Parentkind may withdraw this promotion at its sole discretion and at any time.
1.4 If the promotion is withdrawn, this will be communicated to Parentkind members by Parentkind.
2. Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the promotion, your PTA must meet the following criteria:
2.1 Be a PTA or Parent Council directly affiliated to an educational establishment registered with Education Scotland, or
2.2 Be an educational establishment registered with the Department for Education in England, Department for Education and Skills Wales, Education Authority of Northern Ireland or Education Scotland.
2.3 Have an active Parentkind PTA, Parent Council or Schools membership in the name of your organisation at the time of application.
2.4 The PTA, Parent Council or School do not have an existing Barclaycard merchant relationship or processing facility.
2.5 Parentkind will decide an organisations eligibility at its sole discretion.
3. Donation Criteria
To be eligible for the donation, your PTA must meet the following criteria:
3.1 Have registered with takepayments Limited (takepayments) via the exclusive website link detailed on the takepayments’ Partner Offer page, or via communications from Parentkind during the promotion period.
3.2 Meet the Eligibility Criteria as set out in 2.1–2.5 above
3.3 Complete the onboarding, account set-up process and contracting with takepayments.
3.4 Completed a transaction with takepayments Limited within 90 days of your contract with takepayments commencing.
3.5 Within Your Parentkind Member Account area — Opt In and complete the Funding Programme registration as part of the Parentkind Membership.
3.6 Submitted valid bank details for your PTA, Parent Council or School (in the Funding Programme registration) that Parentkind can verify.
Parentkind may refuse participation if the organisation does not meet all of the Donation Criteria requirements.
4. Donation Payments
The donation will be paid at the beginning of the school term, in the term following the PTAs completion of all eligibility and donation criteria. The donation will be made to the bank account details registered within the Parentkind funding programme.
- Between 16th August and 15th December will be paid by January 31st
- Between 16th December and 15th March will be paid by April 30th
- Between 16th March and 15th August will be paid by September 30th
4.1 If the organisation has not provided bank details within the Funding Programme registration, or these are not verified, we will retain the funds until bank details are provided.
4.2 If a organisation fails to provide bank details within 30 days of the scheduled payment date following a failed payment or a request for missing, incomplete or unverified bank details, the donation will be withdrawn
4.3 Your Parentkind membership must be active at the time of payment.
5. takepayments Contracting and Account Registration
Upon completion of the registration form via the exclusive website link detailed on the takepayments Partner Offer page, or via communications from Parentkind:
5.1 By providing your contact information, you consent to Parentkind sharing your contact information with takepayments to onboard your organisation.
5.2 takepayments will contact the named contact within a timely period to arrange an onboarding appointment.
5.3 The organisation must provide the following documentation, along with any other documents as requested, to takepayments
- 5.3.1 Full name, DOB and 3‑year address history of the trustee/individual selected as signatory.
- 5.3.2 PTA, Parent Council or School banking proof (recent statement/paying in book/voided cheque)
- 5.3.3 One photo of the exterior of the school, preferably including school signage/branding and some other supporting evidence such as a website link.
- 5.3.4 Occasionally, additional documentation may be required, for example, a copy of your constitution.
5.4 takepayments will onboard, complete the account set up and arrange delivery of the card reader/s.
5.5 takepayments may decline any application in accordance with their own terms and conditions.
5.6 Any application which is declined by takepayments or fails to complete all takepayments onboarding requirements will not be eligible for the donation.
6. Processed Transaction
Upon completion of contracting with takepayments and receipt of the card reader, a PTA, Parent Council or School is required to complete a minimum of one transaction within a maximum of 90 days, using the takepayments card reader to qualify for the donation.
Transactions completed within the 90 days meeting all eligibility and donation criteria will trigger the donation payment and will be paid per the Donation Payments timetable in Section 4 above.
7. Donation Funding
Parentkind Trading Limited (Company registration 15774627) is a wholly owned trading subsidiary of Parentkind and donates all its profit to Parentkind. Parentkind Trading Limited receives a referral fee from takepayments for a PTA, Parent Council or School, that contracts for the takepayments card reader promotion. These referral fees are donated to Parentkind to fund this promotion.
8. Our Liability to you
We shall not be liable to you if you suffer any loss or damage from the Promotion (including without limitation any loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill that arises out of or in connection with the Promotion) or from Parentkind’s refusal to allow you to take part in the Promotion or our withdrawal of the Promotion or any other failure or inability by you to
participate in or benefit from the Promotion for any reason. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our liability in respect of personal injury or death caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. How we will use your details
By participating in the promotion, we will use any relevant details submitted to administer the promotion and your PTA Membership by Parentkind subscription as set out in our Privacy Policy. 10. General
Parentkind reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and/or at its absolute discretion refuse the promotion or withdraw the promotion from a participant or beneficiary at any time without notice.
These terms and conditions are governed by English law, and by making use of the promotion, you agree that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction of any such claims or disputes which arise out of or in connection with this promotion.
11. Force Majeure
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure).
A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:
- Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action
- Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war;
- Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic, pandemic or other natural disaster;
- Impossibility to use the railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport;
- Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks; and
- The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government
Our performance under any Contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for
the duration of that period. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the Contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
