Want to hit the ground running?
There are lots of things you can be doing now, that can help you while you’re not busy organising events, obviously in between working and home schooling!
My Account area on Parentkind website
All of your association’s details are in the My Account area. Have a look, make sure your key contact is correct, remove old contacts or add some new committee members, read through the insurance documents provided by Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, to make sure you’re aware of all of your cover. You can also access information about PTA Events or easyfundraising. A link to our annual member survey is in the My Account area too. This provides us with really invaluable feedback and this year we’ve included some Covid related questions, so we can compare with previous years. If you’re really quick, you may still be in with a chance to get this year’s PTA membership free (we will refund if you’ve already paid your membership fee). Respond by the end of February to be in with a chance.
PTA Advice Hub
Take some time to read through the information sheets, including managing your PTA, organising events (virtual advice now too), health and safety issues, and using social media.
Webinars
Talking about webinars, we have recordings of previous webinars that you can catch up with and we’ve got more coming up – usually on the last Wednesday of the month. If you’ve got any topics you’d like to see us cover, let us know by emailing [email protected]
easyfundraising
Has your association registered for easyfundraising? It’s an easy way to fundraise (there’s a clue in the name!), through internet shopping. easyfundraising also provide one to one telephone coaching and tons of resources you can use to drum up support from your members.
Educare
More online training! Educare offers reduced training courses for your volunteers for subjects such as food and hygiene, health and safety, first aid essential and safeguarding.
Social Media
If you haven’t already done it, maybe you could use this time to create a website, or a Facebook page for your PTA. There are some social media guidelines in our PTA Advice Hub.
