Social Media & PR Executive

We are Parentkind, a leading charity that supports and champions all the ways parents can participate in education. We are also the leading membership organisation for parent teacher associations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. As Parentkind enters a new phase of growth, we are looking for a Social Media & PR Executive to join our Head Office in Tonbridge, Kent.

Who you are: We are looking for someone with experience in both PR and Social media who is passionate about communication. You will be an excellent writer with exemplary grammar, spelling and attention to detail, able to identify opportunities for positive PR that furthers the aims of Parentkind and builds our brand profile.

The role: The Social Media and PR Executive will support the delivery of Parentkind’s marketing and communications strategy. Reporting into the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and posting fresh and sharable content for social media, our website and blog, drafting press releases, newsletters, video scripts and other copy to support the various internal teams within the organisation.

Job Type: Full-time (35 hours a week), permanent

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000

Learning and Development Coordinator

We are looking for a learning and development professional with experience of delivering an external training function to join our team in Tonbridge. You will have a proven track record in designing, creating and implementing training programmes as well as significant experience of identifying training needs for defined audiences. You will be a strong communicator as well as possessing the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise workload and excel in a fast paced progressive organisation. If you share our passion to support parents in their role in their children’s education and feel you have the right qualities to make a difference then we would love to hear from you.

Job Type: Ideally on a full time basis (35 hours), although we will consider part time (approximately 28 hours a week, 0.8 FTE) and flexible working arrangements for outstanding candidates (Permanent)

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.

Associate Trainers (Freelance)

We are looking for associate trainers to support the delivery of our training on a variety of topics related to parental participation in schools. You will need a thorough understanding of the education sector and be able to meet organisational aims. You are organised, flexible and dedicated to supporting delegates to realise their full potential. If you are passionate about the difference parents can make in their child’s education as well as the difference this can make in schools, we would love to hear from you.

Job Type: Freelance Contractor (Please note we are looking to recruit between 6-10 freelance contractors across England)

Remuneration: £250 per day rate or £125 per half day rate including preparation and delivery and expenses. Where travel is more than a 25 mile radius from home additional expenses will be supplemented.
