Programme Coordinator: Doncaster Parental Engagement
We are Parentkind, a leading charity that inspires and enables parents to play an active role in their children’s education, so that every child can thrive. As Parentkind enters a new phase of growth, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Programme Coordinator to join our dynamic team within the Doncaster Opportunity Area.
Parentkind are the prime contractors for delivery of a parental engagement project within schools as part of the Doncaster Opportunity Area (DOA). Our parental engagement project will help schools across the Doncaster Opportunity Area to create parental engagement strategies that can be seamlessly embedded within the teaching and non-teaching staff school day to improve attendance and reduce exclusions. This is a key project for the Doncaster Opportunity Area as well as Parentkind, helping us to apply, test and develop our Blueprint for Parent-Friendly Schools through directly working with schools leaders and parents to demonstrate impact on reducing absenteeism.
The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for leading a project management approach to this contract, including delivering the project plan on time and on budget. This involves working directly with the DOA team within the Council and the Parentkind team based in Tonbridge, Kent. This is a pivotal role within our strategic direction to support, engage and champion parent and parent groups participating in school life and education.
