Storytime Magazine Ltd

Storytime is the UK's biggest story magazine for children, bought by thousands of parents and teachers in over 60 countries. It’s a quality monthly magazine packed with wonderful stories for families to read, love and share.

There are no adverts, no plastic toys, and each issue arrives in a special envelope, so children have the excitement of receiving their own post, plus it supports the National Curriculum for reading, writing and comprehension.

Each issue is packed with fairy tales, new and classic stories, awesome animals, inspirational children, myths, legends, gorgeous illustrations, puzzles, games and much, much more

There is also an accompanying home learning pack with every issue, which is emailed to all parents and teachers with lesson ideas, comprehension exercises and fun activities for the home and school.

The short story magazine format is perfect both for reluctant readers and enthusiastic bookworms. Teachers use us for guided reading in the classroom and parents use us for bedtime reading. We also offer bulk discounts for larger orders – please enquire about these at

Storytime is most frequently enjoyed by children aged 3 to 9. 3 to 6 year olds will read Storytime with a parent, teacher or older child and from 7 up we are read independently.

We love to celebrate different cultures and countries through our stories and illustrations. It’s important that whatever a child’s background they see themselves represented in our stories, and know that they can be anything they want to be.

Finally, we know from surveying our readers, that after receiving Storytime for a year, the proportion of children reading for more than the recommended 20 minutes a day doubled! Even better, the proportion of children who enjoyed reading increased too.

There’s no better gift than a year of stories –find out why so many families and schools are making memories with Storytime.

“I share the stories with my own child and also with my class at school. They all absolutely love it and the stories are also a great step between picture books and chapter books and extend their repertoire of stories brilliantly. Keep up the great work!”

“Storytime is fantastic. I've ordered it as a resource to use in school and a few other teachers have started to order it too. The children love all the different story types and the activities. Thank you!!”

This magazine is great! The lack of adverts and gimmicky free gifts shows the integrity of the idea to spread stories and learning through a love of reading. The classic fairytales contrast well with the myths and legends and stories from around the world, which my older daughter really enjoys

“As a family we love beautiful books and it's amazing to at last find a magazine that lives up to the quality of children's literature available. No toys and no pink tack. Just quality tales with beautiful and enhancing illustrations. Thank you!”

I think your magazine is a great idea. The stories are not too long, and it means we get to read new stories on a regular basis at a very reasonable prize. The illustrations are beautiful and the range of stories makes it entertaining even for dad :) Don't become like any of the other magazines you can buy on the high street - you'd lose all the appeal that sets you apart!

“I am delighted with the quality of the magazine. The stories themselves, the beautiful pictures, the quality of the paper It's incredible. My granddaughter absolutely loves it - especially receiving it in the post with her name on it!”

My sons are not keen readers at all, so anything that draws their interest has my gratitude. Storytime, with its great mixture of different styles of writing and beautiful illustrations has become a favourite in our household and we look forward to it every month. Even I enjoy it, as there is always something more unusual between the covers.”
