Leading education charity, Achievement for All, has launched their global 200 Million Minutes Reading Challenge and we need your help to beat their never-before reached target!
The charity is calling on parents, schools, settings, libraries, community groups and organisations around the world to come together and collectively read for 200 million minutes in just 26 days, starting on World Book Day (7th March) and finishing on Children's Book Day (2nd April).
Getting children into the habit of reading in everyday life can improve communication skills and brighten future prospects, unlocking new worlds and possibilities. Just 10 minutes of reading a day can make a huge impact to a child's development, imagine what 200 million minutes could achieve!
Do you think your school would like to take part?
Are you and your children up for the challenge?
All reading counts, whether that's books, newspapers, comics or magazines!
Register at www.200millionminutes.org to get started. There are loads of fun activities to try at home and at school and some great prizes available too!
Every minute makes a difference so sign up and help build a better future for children and young people across the world!
