On Friday 14th May, the Association for Quality Education (AQE) announced when their 2021/2022 Common Entrance Assessments would be taking place in Northern Ireland. They confirmed that dates for the registration will be provided this week (w/c 17th May) on their website.
Parentkind and #BringItBackToPrimary are meeting with AQE and the Education Minister Peter Weir MLA on Monday 24th May in a video call to discuss the AQE transfer test process for 2021. We are inviting parents of pupils in P6 to share directly with us queries or concerns that they might have about this year’s test and we will put these directly to the Minister and Dr Darrin Barr (CEO) and Board Chairman Mr Ian Noad from AQE.
The video call will be recorded and will be shared on Parentkind’s website and notice of the video link (when live) will be shared via the Parentkind and Bring it Back to Primary social media channels.
Our Head of Northern Ireland Jayne Thompson will be working with Naomi McBurney, Campaign Organiser of #BringItBackToPrimary, on collating and theming the questions and they are keen to hear from as many parents of current P6 pupils as possible. If you have a question that you would like them to ask about this year’s AQE transfer test, then please email them over to Jayne or Naomi by 2pm Friday 21st May. All questions will be anonymised.
Email Jayne: email@example.com
Email Naomi: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please do not ponder over whether your question is a good one or a bad one, all questions are good and worth asking and we are happy to ask them on your behalf.
