PTA UK and Parent Councils UK join forces to harness the power of parents in our schools


We are delighted to let you know that PTA UK and Parent Councils UK have joined forces to support and champion parents in their vital role as part of their child's education.

Parent Councils UK, under the leadership of Fiona Carnie, has provided popular and market-leading training for head teachers, school staff, governors, trustees and parents on parental engagement and parent voice for many years. As part of our collaboration, PTA UK will now be supporting Fiona in developing and delivering this training programme.

Fiona will in turn be adding her considerable expertise and experience to advise and work with PTA UK in its mission to support, engage and champion all parent groups and parents to engage positively with our children's education.

Together, the two organisations will be working on developing further guidance, tools and frameworks to support parental participation in school life.

This partnership builds on our work together in 2016 on responding to the government on the English Education White Paper and creating guidance for parents on developing parent voice at their school.
