It's been an incredible 2016! Season's Greetings from PTA UK

We look back on a great year of achievement:

We've supported 3.9 million children's education
PTA UK member associations can now be found in 50% of all schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

3 million hours volunteered by PTAs
Worth over £20 million, our member survey revealed the scale of the drive and dedication of those who volunteer their time and skills to support their PTA.

Growing social community
Our Facebook pages (PTA UK and PTA UK for parents) are dynamic, friendly and supportive environments for over 32,000 people. We also have over 4,000 Twitter followers.

We've helped parents to have a say in education
Our parent survey told us that 85% want more say in their child's education. In England, we supported the Department for Education and Education Select Committee to engage parents in education policy. We also championed parent  voice in Wales and Northern Ireland. And we produced a guide to help parents set up a parent forum or council in their school.

Our Be School Ready campaign reached over 100,000 parents
Supporting parents of new school starters, we shared useful resources online and sent welcome packs for our member associations to share with 100,000 parents new to their schools.

New parent resources available
As well as new parent resources on our website, we've launched our Parent eBulletin and PTA UK for Parents Facebook page.

PTA success stories shared
We've heard from many PTAs on their successes throughout the year and featured these in our magazine, newsletter and on social media too. We love to hear about the amazing work of our members or great examples of schools and parents working together, so please share a story here.

Exciting new member benefits
We introduced a comprehensive insurance package, specifically for PTAs, provided by Zurich. New partnerships were also created with Booker/Makro, Grants4Schools and easyfundraising to support our members' efforts further.

European Parents’ Association award-winner
We completed an innovative new project, Building Stronger Communities through Volunteering in Schools, in Northern Ireland and were delighted to be recognised by the European Parents’ Association, who presented us with their prestigious ALCUIN award.

Wishing you a peaceful festive season and every success in 2017.
