Examinations set by the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) were cancelled at the start of January due to the worsening health pandemic. On 2nd February the Minister announced the way forward on alternative awarding arrangements for 2021. Prior to the announcement, with the help of Parentkind, officials of the Department of Education met with parents of young people in Years 11 to 14. Their views on the proposed arrangements were listened to and acted upon to help ensure the arrangements going forward meet well the needs of our young people.
