Message from Kirsty Williams — thank you for parents and PTAs in Wales
Listen to the Minister’s message as she thanks parents and PTAs in Wales for their invaluable and continued support. She also lets parents know how their response to our recent parent survey has informed the government’s decision-making on the next phases of education in Wales.
Our survey findings, which we shared with Welsh Government, revealed parental concerns about the impact that the pandemic will have on their children’s mental health, their worries about missed learning, transition and much more. Against that background of uncertainty and anxiety, Parentkind is extremely grateful to the Education Minister for taking the time to address these concerns in a message to parents, and for citing Parentkind as a trustworthy source for parents.
Keep up to date and have your say
The Minister frequently holds #AskKirsty events on Welsh Government social media channels to update the electorate on education matters. Parents are encouraged to take part.
The current message for education and schools in Wales is ‘Check in, Catch Up, Prepare for summer and September’.
