Why book a workshop?
In line with the principles of our Blueprint for Parent-Friendly Schools (click here for the Blueprint in Welsh), our introductory online workshop ‘Overcoming Barriers to parental participation’ will set you up with the basics your school needs to build successful parent partnerships.
In this two-hour online session you will be given practical tools, techniques and actions that your school can embed to cultivate an environment that nurtures parental participation in all areas of their child’s education. Guided by an expert associate trainer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate, discuss and learn with your peers.

- Two hour, expert-led interactive session via Zoom
- Opportunity to gain knowledge and share experiences with senior leaders and teachers in other schools
- £60 + VAT per person
Who will lead the workshop?
Our associate trainers range from former headteachers and Ofsted inspectors, to parental engagement champions and education consultants. Each associate trainer brings a wealth of experience and qualifications, their own understanding of the challenges faced by schools and expertise on ways in which your school can engage with parents. To build on this introductory workshop, we also run masterclasses on a whole school approach to parental participation and successful parent consultation.
